FRAME Carbon frame manufacturing perfection - that is what the new Elite C68 frame stands for. The frame is well below 1000g while still having exceptional stiffness and a remarkably comfortable ride. To achieve this we've used the latest in carbon technology, our Advanced Twin Mold Monocoque process and a completely new frame design with details like the tapered head tube (with integrated bearing seats), PressFit bottom bracket, X12 rear axle and internal cable routing. The chain stay mounted post mount disc tabs allow for more compliant seat stays and the slender 27.2mm diameter seat post adds even more comfort. A new feature is the provision for an internal dropper post routing. The fun and agile handling, typical of our CUBE 29ers, comes from our Agile Ride Geometry (ARG). COMPONENTS Completely new for 2015, the XTR drive train with 11-40 cassette and a 29 optimized 26/36 crank set represents the current optimum in raceability and shifting performance. The new XTR XC disk brakes with magnesium and carbon construction are very light, while being top notch performers. For that explosive acceleration the SL comes equipped with tubeless ready CSW MA 3.9 straight pull wheels.
